Our black storks have offspring!
The pair of Black storks has offspring for the second year in a row.
Our keepers had to take the eggs to the incubator – and the chicks were born there. Now they are already one month old. Our keepers will take care of them till they grow enough to be on their own.
In the wild, black storks have a very secretive way of life, so people see them more seldom than white storks. Our chicks can be seen in the daytime, when the sun is not too bright; they live at the Old territory, near the enclosure of the African hunting dogs.
