Our eagle owls have a chick!
Our pair of the eagle owls, living at the enclosure near the crossover bridge, has a chick. The little grey chick is still covered with grey down all over and stays in the nest all the time with the mother, who makes the chick warm and protects it.
The caring father brings mice to the female and she makes tender affectionate sounds in response. The little chick gets the best soft meat.
The best time to observe this family is about 11.30 a.m.- 12.00, when the birds are given food. However, please be quiet near the enclosure, so that not to disturb the young mother.
