Moscow zoo at the SEAZA Conference


Moscow zoo took part in the Annual Conference of the South-East Asian Zoo Association (SEAZA).

In total more than 300 delegates from zoos in Japan, Taiwan, Australia, Great Britain, Austria, Spain, USA, South America, India, South Africa, Kazakhstan and other countries were at the Conference, which was held from October 28 to November 2 in Thailand. Russia was represented by Moscow zoo.

One of the highlights at the conference was the report of our leading specialist Sergey Ryabov, prepared in collaboration with researcher Wang Xiaohe and is focused on the role of modern zoos in the conservation and study of snakes of South-East Asia. In addition, following the results of the conference, an agreement on Moscow zoo joining SEAZA in 2019 was reached.
